Show up. Speak out. Shape the future!

Join us on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, for Postsecondary Basic Needs (PSBN) Lobby Day at the Capitol in Olympia to support students!

Why join?

Education is a proven pathway out of poverty, but too many students in Washington state struggle to persist or complete educational programs because they cannot meet their basic needs for food, mental + behavioral healthcare, childcare, housing, or support to navigate existing systems. These barriers disproportionately impact low-income students, particularly those who are Black, Indigenous + people of color (BIPOC), first-generation, or parenting students. Together, we can advocate for equitable policies and resources students need to thrive.

What to expect?

  • Rally with student advocates, state representatives, and coalition partners as we fight for essential student needs like college support services, housing, childcare, mental health, behavioral healthcare, and food security.
  • Connect with legislators to amplify the call for essential student support services.
  • No experience needed—just your passion!
