April is National Volunteer Month and we are calling all volunteers to join forces to serve 365 hours in a single month.
Emerging Leaders 365 are hosting volunteer projects on Saturdays, April 6 and April 13. Projects are designed to serve an immediate need in the community with trusted organizations and partners. As we work side-by-side with communities to build an equitable future for everyone, your support is invaluable. Volunteer with youth at Coyote Central, children at risk of homelessness at Birthday Dreams, and/or help families in need of shelter and basic needs items.
When you come to two or more volunteer month projects, you’ll receive free tickets to our next Happy Hour & Hellos event, complete with drink tokens and prizes.
Join us on April 6th for a monthly volunteer opportunity to support Coyote Central. Coyote Central provides creative classes and public art opportunities to young people. We will be helping them get their garden ready for harvest to assist students and families struggling with food insecurities. And preparing spaces for youth.
During this event we will be participating with the following activities:
- Courtyard Cleanup
- Garden Preparation
- Rock Disposal
- Kitchen reorganization + cleanup
- Clay Studio Prep
- Shed Cleanout

This opportunity is hosted by young professionals but all are welcome! By participating you will receive similar opportunities emailed to you bimonthly. Each opportunity supports United Way of King County’s mission to build an equitable future for everyone, we envision continuing to reimagine and reform historically exclusionary systems—side by side with our community.
