Seattle’s top chefs engage in a friendly competition to see who can create the yummiest, kid-tested and approved summer meal. Each chef gets to bring one secret ingredient. All four chefs then have a chance to win a bonus food item to add to their culinary creation. A panel of celebrity judges paired with school-age helpers will taste the creations and pick the winner! The fun is designed to spotlight Summer Food Invasion, a collaboration between No Kid Hungry, AmeriCorps VISTA, and the Seattle Seahawks to combat hunger among low-income kids and teens. The summer meals program offers free breakfasts and lunches at various parks and libraries Monday through Friday for 8 weeks throughout the summer.
