Nonprofits provide significant services in our community and many are powered by United Way of King County's investments. United Way of King County's initiatives strengthen the community's ability to "give back" - from enhancing nonprofit board strength, to ensuring that volunteers are linked to opportunities.

Through our public policy advocacy work, we will support funding, policies, systems, and services that:

• Promote philanthropy and charitable giving
• Enhance the capacity for effective local volunteerism
• Strengthen nonprofit boards and organizations to carry out their mission.
