Make a donation of toys or books: Together you and your children can collect new or gently used toys and books to provide to children who are homeless. This is a great way to help your children learn how easy it can be to help those in need. Call 211 for a list of local nonprofits accepting donations.

Organize activities for your children: Whether it's through your place of worship, your child's school, or just at home, you can bring together your children and their friends to participate together in activities to help the homeless. One simple idea is to put together personal care kits for people living on the streets.
