United Way of King County welcomes our grantees and other community partners to use our logo to show affiliation with our organization. The following guidelines outline correct usage for the United Way logo.

Minimum and preferred logo size
To ensure the integrity of the United Way of King County logo, do not reduce its width to less than .75 inches for print or special usage, and 90 pixels or 1.25 inches for screen applications. Other reproduction methods may require the minimum size to be greater than the sizes identified here.

Approved identity versions
The United Way of King County logo must always appear as shown on this page or in one of the color variations described in these guidelines.

One-color black logo
The one-color black United Way of King County logo is the primary brandmark, and it is strongly recommended that this version be used whenever possible.

Full-color logo
The full-color version of the United Way of King County logo should be used only when it will be placed side by side with other full-color logos.

Logo with "Supported by United Way of King County" tagline
United Way of King County grantees that have Web sites must display the United Way of King County logo on their homepage, along with the words: "Supported by United Way of King County" and a link to the United Way of King County Web site: http://www.unitedwayofkingcounty.org. For your convenience, we have created graphic files of the United Way logo including this tagline. Below is an example of how the logo should appear on a home page.

Unacceptable applications
Never attempt to redraw or rescale the logo, or add other graphic elements to its presentation. Do not extract any of the graphic elements contained in the logo to use separately. Special attention should also be paid when placing the United Way of King County logo on a solid background, and it should never be placed on a busy background image.

Special usage
The special usage United Way logos are used when printing on colored surfaces, or screening of inks is not possible. This may occur when reproducing on plastic, glass, metal, fabric or other materials used for merchandise or signage. For printed materials, these logos may only be used when the method of reproduction is faxing and photocopying or the surface of the paper is a color other than white. For example, this may occur when printing a black and white laser print on blue paper. When printing on white paper, the full-color or one-color logos should be used at all times.

United Way of King County logos are available for both Macintosh and PC platforms, in Illustrator EPS and JPEG formats. The EPS format should be used for all printed formats (such as brochures, datasheets and banners). JPEG files should be used for the Web and digital applications.
