Caring for older family members
At some point in our lives, most of us will experience a change in roles with an older family member. Often this can be a difficult transition, especially if you aren't sure when to step in and help your loved one. If you don't know about the kinds of help available in the community, the responsibilities of caring for someone can seem overwhelming and exhausting. This session helps you to recognize signs and symptoms that may indicate an older person is in need of help. You will also learn more about the resources available to assist you and your relative, whether they live next door or across the country.
Presenter: Roy Mishra, Caregiver Advocate, Senior Services
